Edgar L Boyd Dies, Services Thursday

Services for Edgar L. Boyd, 66, who died at 1 p. m. today at his home at 34 North St. in Bemis, after an extended illness, will be held at the Mt. Comfort Baptist Church near Beuna Vista, Tenn., at 2:30 p. m. Thursday with the Rev. John Hedge officiating, assisted assisted by the Rev. W. M. Greer, Burial will be in the church cemetery with Smith Funeral Home in charge. Born and reared in Carroll County, he had lived at Bemis for the past 24 years. He was employed by the Bemis Bro. Bag Co. and was a member of the 20-Year-Club at the plant. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Beuna Vista. He leaves his wife; two sons, the Rev. Truman Boyd of Jackson and the Rev. R. B. Boyd of Bemis; a daughter, Mrs. Earl Herriman of Bemis: two brothers, Robert Boyd of Westport, Tenn., and Holland Boyd of Kutztown, Pa. three sisters, Mrs. Ed Nolen. Mrs. John Robinson and Mrs. Will Allen, all of Beuna Vista;, and eight grandchildren. The body will be at the home until time for services. Pall bearers will be Nelso Nerrin, W. C. Johnson, Lewis Collins. Bobby Ward, Garnice Scott and Frank Conovan. Honorary pall bearers will be Milliard Granger, Jack Hopper. Arby Ashby, John Horn, Kay Collins and Jess Byrum.³
