Rev. R. B. Boyd
Services for Rev. R. B. Boyd, 79, will be today at 3 p.m.
at Boyd Funeral Home Chapel in Parsons with Rev. W. AA.
Greer and Rev. David Weatherford officiating. Burial will
be in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery near Parsons. Rev. Boyd died
Friday morning at the Methodist Hospital in Lexington. He
was born in Carroll County, son of the late Edgar Lafayette
and Ethel Batman Boyd. He was a retired Pentecostal
minister and was ordained as minister in 1938. He was a
member of the Mt. Tabor United Pentecostal Church in
Parsons. His son, Gaylod Graves Boyd, preceded him in death
in 1978. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Myra Graves Boyd of
Parsons, whom he married March 29, 1930, two sons, William
Henry Boyd of Decaturville and Nathan Bradford Boyd of
Memphis, a sister, Mrs. Justine Herriman of Jackson, four
grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Boyd Funeral
