June 29, 1967 - Obituary of Mrs. Viola Boyd Nolen
Mrs. Viola Boyd Nolen died June 18th at the Ridgeway
Retirement Inn in Milan where she had been a patient there
for ten days. She was 67 years, one month and 18 days old.
She professed faith in Christ at an early age and united
with the Mt. Comfort Missionary Baptist Church where she
was a faithful member as long as her health permitted her.
She was married to Edd Nolen, November 30, 1919 to this
union were born four sons, Eldon Nolen of Union City,
Vibert and Vernon Nolen of Peoria, Ill., and Wade Nolen of
Hollow Rock; three daughters Mrs. Roy Butler of Westport,
Mrs. David Noles and Mrs. Robert H. Lee of Hollow Rock.
Besides the children she leaves two sisters, Mrs. Carl
Winters of Huntingdon, Mrs. John Robinson of Buena Vista
and a host of nieces and nephews and friends. Funeral
services were held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at Mt.
Comfort with burial in the church cemtery with Dilday
Funeral Home in charge. Leborn Nolen, Howard Jones, Raymond
Boyd, James Oliver Butler served as pallbearers.
