Mrs. Opal Cable Norwood, age 59, of Union City, Tenn. formerly of Roanoke died Sunday. She is survived by her husband, Raymond E. Norwood; one son, Ray Norwood; one daughter, Mrs. Kathy Sue Yates and son-in-law Ronnie Yates, all Union City, Tenn.; her father, Harry Cable and step-mother, Mrs. Hilda Cable, Altavista; one brother, Sherman Cable, Sr. and sister-in-law, Mrs. Christine Cable, Salem; three grandchildren, John Yates; Jennifer Yates; Julie Yates, Union City, Tenn.; three step-brothers, one stepsister and two nephews.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 2 at 3:00 p.m. at the Lotz Salem Chapel with Terry Kerr officiating. Interment will be in Sherwood. Friends may call at Lotz Salem Chapel.⁶
