Cantelo Dies In Hoosick
HOOSICK -- Walter Cantelo, retired mechanical engineer, who
had resided most of his life in Hoosick, died Sunday
morning at home. He was born in England, March 19, 1868,
son of Mr. and George Cantelo. He came to this country when
he was a young boy. As a mechanical engineer he had been
employed in Schenectady in the Rensselaer county area until
his retirement several years ago- Survivors are his wife,
the former Helen McLaughlin; two daughters, Mrs. Charles W.
(Grace) Retzer of Bridgeport, Conn. , and George (Phyllis)
Ely of Hoosick nine grandchildren and nine great
grandchildren; one sister. Mrs George Bibb of Troy. N Y.;
step daughters; several nieces nephews Mr. Cantelo was
affiliated with Apollo Masonic Lodge in Troy more than 66
years, a life He also belonged to the Hoosick Grange and
All Saints Episcopal Church. The funeral will be held from
Saints Church, Hoosick, tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock.
Burial will be in Mapletown Cemetery, Hoosick. Walbridge
Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.6
