Icy Road Blamed; Both - Car and Bus In Motion Mrs. Walter
(Helen) Cantelo of Hoosick, who was injured Thursday
morning when her automobile was in a head-on collision with
a bus of the Vermont Transit, company in the1 Maplewood
section of Hoosick is reported much Improved at Putnam
Memorial hospitalhis morning. She has recovered from the
shock and no serious injuries resulted. New York state
police from Cambridge, N. Y. Interviewed Mrs. Cantelo at
the hospital, and as a result of a previous questioning of
the bus driver and six passengers, found no particular
responsibility for the accident on either driver, and the
crath may have resulted from slippery condition of the
roed. Clyde E. Jeffries of Walpole, N. H , bus driver,
reports the Cantelo car evidenlally skidded on the icy road
into the pathway of the bus The New York state police
report Mrs. Cantelo driving west at the time of the
acrident and the bus coming cast and Mrs. Cantelo was not
parked at the time as reported in Thursday nights Banner
The ear of Mrs. Cantelo is believed to be a lotal loss with
the fiame buckled and the motor pushed through the dash.
