JOHN C. COOPER, PLEASANT HILL.
Special Dispatch to The American. HUNTINGDON, Tenn., Aug.
23. News was received here today of tho death of John C.
Cooper, who lived on the line between Carroll and Benton
County, Tuesday night. The deceased was a brother of J. C.
Cooper, a prominent citizen of Buena Vista, and was well
known in this county. He was a member of the Baptist Church
and a Mason. The funeral occuurred at Pleasant Hill and the
burial was under the auspices of the Masonic Order, the
lodges at Camden, Buena Vista and Holladay participating.
The funeral sermon was preached by Rev. T. M. Boyd and Rev.
E. M. Joyner.3
