CHARLOTTE J. SLADE Private funeral services were to be held
this afternoon to North Adams, mm, for Mrs. Charlotte James
Slade, native of Bennington, who died at tbe age of 103
Monday in Springfield where she had resided tor the last
year. Daughter of Randall and Harriett (Rudd) James, she
was born to 1874 and was the widow of James Slade who died
in 1916. Mrs. Slade resided for many years in North Adams,
and made her home at 331 Houghton St. in that city. She was
a member of St Johns Episcopal Church. Survivors are two
daughters, Gladys Cleary of North Adams and Evelyn Cahill
of Springfield, a grandson, Brian A Cahill of Lodi, NJ.
Burial will be in the spring in Hithrfde Cemetery, North
Adams..1
