Fleetwood Clark Fesmire
ORANGE PARK-Fleetwood Clark Fesmire, 85, an airman for 23
years and a grand safety officer for the Marine Corps, died
Sunday, July 28, 2002, in Panama City. He is survived by
his wife of 56 years, Eva Russell Fesmire. The service will
be at 11 a.m. EDT Wednesday at Abbey Chapel in Tallahassee
(562-1518), with burial at Tallahassee Memory Gardens.
Family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. EDT at the
funeral home. Mr. Fesmire was born March 1, 1917 in Buena
Vista, Tenn. He was the son of a Methodist minister, U.J.
Fesmire and Eula Hoy Fesmire. He served our country as an
airman for 23 years, 1939-1962. From 1964-1975, he was the
grand safety officer at Marine Corps Air Station in
Beaufort, S.C. Mr. Fesmire and wife Eva returned to
Tennessee after retirement before returning to Florida in
1984. They lived in Clay Count for a year, followed by
eight years in Tallahassee before returning to Orange Park,
Clay County in 1993. He was a member of Orange Park United
Methodist Church. Other survivors include a daughter,
Marion Fesmire of Panama City; a son, Robin Clark Fesmire
(and wife Kathy) of Tallahassee; a granddaughter, Jessica
A. Scott of Fort Lauderdale; two brothers, Dr. Robert
Fesmire and Wilburn Fesmire of Nashville, Tenn.; a sister,
Anne Stapp of Chattanooga, Tenn.; and several nephews and
nieces in Tennessee and Florida.1
