MRS. HENRY RUDD. BENNINGTON, Jan. 20. The funeral of Mrs.
Bertha Rudd, 80, widow of Henry Rudd, was held here Sunday
at the Walbridge Funeral home. The Grange held a service
Saturday night and the funeral was in charge of the
Walbridge Funeral Home. The body was placed in the vault.
Mrs. Rudd died Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs.
William Barber, with whom she resided. She was bom In Fort
Ann, N. Y. the daughter of George and Jane Warner. In her
young womanhood, the family moved to Wells. There she was
married to Harry Potter, who died not many years afterward.
About 1900 she and her family moved to Bennington where
they have since resided and where she was married to Dwight
Rudd, a Civil war veteran. A few years after his death She
become the wife of his brother, Henry Rudd, who died four
years ago. She was a member of Miriam Rebekah lodge and of
Bennington Grange. Survivor, besides her daughter, are four
sons, Clarence Potter of Detroit, William Potter and Harold
and Howard Rudd of Bennington; a brother, Eugene Warner of
Wells; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.2
