Mary Jo Norwood, 73, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, December
22, 2012 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. She
was a homemaker, member of Harvest Baptist Church and was a
volunteer for the Dyersburg/Dyer County Union Mission.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Dyer
County Memorial Gardens with the Rev. John Paul Schuster
officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the
arrangements. The family will receive visitors from 5-8
p.m. Wednesday at Dyersburg Funeral Home. Survivors include
her three sons, Gary L. Norwood and wife, Jane, of Memphis,
Ronald D. Norwood and wife, Betty, of Nashville and Stanley
Glen Norwood and wife, Lynn, of Leeds, England; a sister,
Wanda Troutt of Camden; a sister-in-law, Olene French of
Orlando, FL; seven grandchildren; and two
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Norwood;
and her parents, William and Hazel Lynch French.
Pallbearers will be Gary Norwood, Ronald Norwood, Jonathan
Norwood, Malcolmb Norwood, Ethan Norwood and Jessica Hasty.
The family requests that memorials be directed to
Dyersburg/Dyer County Union Mission.2
