Bill Hoy
BUENA VISTA Services for Bill McGee Hoy, 54, retired press
operator at ILLS., were at 2 p.m. today at Pleasant Hill
Baptist Church with the Rev. James Higdon and the Rev. John
Hedges officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with
Stockdale-Malin Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Hoy was
pronounced dead at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital
Wednesday after his car ran off Natchez Trace Cutoff Road,
hit a tree and overturned, the Highway Patrol said.- He was
a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy. He leaves his
wife, Geanette Marie Workman Hoy of Buena Vista; a stepson,
William E. Stewart of Baton Rouge, La.; five sisters, Ollie
Prince, Kate Smith, Queen Webb, all of Camden, Eula Fesmire
of Nashville and Hazel Strickland of Buena Vista; and two
grandchildren.2
