Marvin Smothers

Marvin Smothers, 77 of Buena Vista, died Tuesday afternoon at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center after a brief illness. Survivors include his wile, the former Ora Franks of Camden, Tenn ; a daughter. Mrs Maxie S Duke of Florence; a son. H F Smothers of Bowling Green. Ky. three grandchildren. Rocky Duke of Florence, Kathy Smothers and Alice Smothers, both of Bowling Green. Ky . and a brother Connie Smothers of Camden, Tenn. A native of Camden, he had been a resident of Jackson since 1948. He was a member of Capital Street United Methodist Church He was formerlv associated with Getz Exterminating Co of St Louis Mo and was public relations representative with Orkin Exterminating Co for 15 years until his retirement. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home.⁴
