Mrs. Holland
Mrs Lela Florence Holland, 84, died suddenly Wednesday, at
4:20 p.m. at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Earl Clinnard,
Lock C Road, of a heart attack. Funeral services will be
conducted, Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Murphy Funeral Home by
the Rev. James Crocker. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel
Cemetery, Camden, Tenn. Mrs. Holland was born in Benton
County, Tenn., December 11, 1880, but had lived with her
daughter for the past eight years in Montgomery County. She
was the daughter of the B. Smothers and Harriett Kirk
Smothers. In 1920 she married J.W. Holland, who died eight
years ago. . Survivors besides Mrs. Clinnard are three
step-sons, James G., V.U. and A.V. Holland, allot Camdeih
Tenn: four step-daughters, Mrs. Elver Hicksend -Mrs.Vadie
Lashlee, ...both of Bruceton, Tenn.; Mrs. Verlie Spence,
and Mrs. Addie Oxford, Camden. Tenn! three brothers, Frank
Smothers, Arizona; Connie Smothers, Camden. Tenn; and Irvin
Smothers. Orlando, Fla. four grandchildren. 32 step
grandchildren.- She was a member of the Wilee's Chapel
Methodist Church.2
