EZRA "HERMAN" BUTLER 1911 - 1998
Ezra "Herman" Butler, 87, of Huntingdon, died Friday,
November 27, at Baptist Memorial Hospital.
Services were held on Sunday, November 29, at Dilday
Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Humbles Cemetery. Rev.
William Fowler officiated.
Pallbearers who served were Larry Cary, Kenneth Cary, Clint
Butler, Terry Rainwaters, Spirgeon Nolen and Rua] Pierce.
Honorary pallbearers were Jody Hilliard and Lois Pierce.
Mr. Butler, the son of the late Henry Clint and Genie Bonds
Butler, was born October 26, 1911, in Carroll County. He
was a retired engineer for the L&N Railroad and a member of
the Humbles Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death
by a son, Gerald Ray Butler; and a grandson, Kenneth
Hendrix.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years. Lila Mai Butler,
three daughters, Shirley McDaniel of Paris, Morine Cary of
Bruceton, and Brenda Johnson of Camden; a son, E,H. Butler
of Huntingdon; a sister, Daisy Butler of Huntingdon; eight
grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.1
