Thursday, August 12, 1999, Sue (Cole) Norwood, 76, of Union City died Aug. 11, 1999, at her home after suffering an apparent heart attack. Services:2 p.m. Friday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Revs. Kim Cawley and Eddie Mallonee to officiate. Burial, East View Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Roy Perryman, Robert Lewis, Alonzo King, Bill Heacock, Shea Riley and Ronnie Minton. She was born May 3, 1923, in Fulton County, Ky., daughter of the late Roy Cole and the late Marie (Forgey) Cole Woosley. She married Paul Weldon Norwood Jan. 7, 1947. She a retired employee of the City of Union City, member of Union City Cumberland Presbyterian Church, the Pleasant Valley Family and Community Education Club and Baptist Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Other survivors: daughter, Paula Sterling of Bartlett; a son, Bill Norwood of Union City; four grandchildren, Jessica Sterling and Haley Sterling, both of Bartlett, and Joseph Norwood and Amanda Norwood, both of Union City; and a half sister, Emily Jane Sams of Warner Robbins, Ga.³
