Hurl French Succumbs To Heart Attack
Hurl French, 59, former resident of Prattville, died
unexpectedly early Monday morning following a heart attack.
He was married in 1930 to the former Ruth Lynn Gillespie of
Prattville. For the past 30 years they had resided in
Graceville, Fla. where he owned and operated the Ford
agency. Funeral services were held .Tuesday afternoon from
the First Methodist Church in Graceville. Among those
attending the services from Prattville were Mr. and Mrs. C.
E. Gillespie, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Whitmon, and Mr. Sam
DeRamu3. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two
sons. Rev. Copper French, Ft. Payne. L. H. French. Jr., of
Graceville and one granddaughter: his stepmother, Mrs. L.
French, of , Patsburg; four sisters, Mrs. J. H. Colquett,
of Brantley: Mrs. Frank Steel, of Maryland; Mrs. James
Buford, of Cartersville. Ga. ; and Mrs. Cecil Kynard, of
Selma ; and two brothers, R. .J. French, of Tallahassee,
Fla., and Thomas French, of Orlando, Fla.2
