Funeral Services will Be Held Friday Morning L E Cowling 71 Corpus Christi real estate and insurance man died at the' family home 1924 Buford Street : at 9:30 o'clock this morning : Cowling came here seven years ago : from Wichita Falla Texas He was born at Mineral Springs Ark November 17 1868 He married Ada McLane September 4 1889 at Hope Ark His higher education was obtained at Cumberland University at Lebanon Tenn. Since coming to Texas Cowling served as mayor of Mineral Wells in 1916-1918 He had resided in Texas 32 years During his lifetime he engaged in the lumber business real estate insurance and loans Cowling maintained offices at flOltj Mesquite Street in Corpus Christi - V ' While a resident of-Wichita Falla Cowling was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Mus-kat Shrine He professed to Methodism and was a member of the South Bluff Methodist Church here. Survivors include his wife two daughters Miss Mary Jo Cowling teacher in the Texas State College for Women at Denton end Airs George W Truett of Wichita Falls two sons L E Cowling Jr of Houston - and William Kelly Cowling of Corpus Christi and seven grandchildren -Funeral services will be conducted at 10 o'clock Friday morning from the David T Peel Funeral Chapel by the Rev H E Goodenough pastor of the South Bluff Methodist Church and the Rev J E Lovett pastor of the Mercedes Methodist Church and former South Bluff pastor Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lee Martin Willard White L R Vanriby Ray West W P Glass and W P Baker.3
