WILLIAM HENRY NOLEN PASSED AWAY JAN. 9

Carroll County lost another one of its oldest citizens in the passing of Wm. Henry Nolen, 86, at his home in the East end of the county Jan. 9. Surviving are three sons, Cullie, Aulie and Ben all of Buena Vista; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. At the interment at Oak Grove cemetery on Wednesday, tribute was paid Mr. Nolen by his neighbors and friends Thurman Kee and M. G. Bowers in fitting remarks. He professed faith in Christ in early life but never united with any church. He lived an upright life and will he greatly missed by his relatives and friends.⁴
