Rites Tuesday For Mrs. J. W.Horn At Bemis Church
Funeral services for Mrs, Mary Lou Dena Horn, who passed
suddenly this morning at her residence in Bemis at 5:30
o'clock, will be held Tuesday afternoon at the North Bemis
Baptist Church at 1 o'clock Reverend L. H. Brown, pastor of
the church will officiate. Interment will be in Highland Me
morial Gardens. She was born in Carroll County on January
20, 1892. She was first married to Columbus Edwards in
1909. They made their home in Carroll County where he was
engaged in farming until he passed away in 1939. Later she
was married to John W. Horn and for the past twenty years
they had made their home in Bemis. Mrs. Horn was a member
of the North Bemis Baptist Church. In addition to her
husband she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Fannie Brown
and Mrs. Willodean Hill of Jackson; three stepdaughters,
Mrs. Arby Ashby and Mrs. Rubert Robison of Bemis and Mrs.
Emma Stanford of Garden City. Michigan: one brother, Newt
Butler of Soper, Oklahoma; four grandchildren and one
great-grand child. Pallbearers for the service will be:
Clifford Cross, Jess W. Brasher, Harl Shepard. C. W.
Butler, Thompsie Smith and Kelvy Tolley. Friends may call
at the resi dence, 106 Carroll Street, Be mis. Lanier
Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.2
