William served with the 26 Mississippi Infantry, CSA.
Mr W F Blakney died suddenly at his home one mile west of
Banty Thursday, July 14th. Mr Blakney was seventy seven
years old, an ex-confederate soldier and has lived in this
county for several years. He leaves several sons and
daughters and many grand children to mourn his death.
Funeral services were held at the cemetery at Caddo where
he was buried.3 4
