Mrs. A. Silveira

Mrs. Mary DaConceicao Silveira, 90, of 38 Freeborn
Middletown, wife of the late Antonio Diniz Silveira, who
died last November, died Tuesday Newport Hospital after a
long illness. Mrs. Silveira was a communicant of Jesus
Saviour a member of its Rosary Sodality. She was born In
St. George, The Azores, a daughter of and Maria DaConceicao
Vieira. Mrs. Silveira came to this country in 1901 to live
in Middtetown. She leaves three sons, D. Silveira II and
Anthony Silveira, both of Middletown, and Arthur D.
Portsmouth; nine daughters, Mrs. John F: Soares and Mrs.
Edward J. Corey, both of Portsmouth, Mrs John Cardoza, Mrs.
Ida Borges, Mrs. Manuel S. Perry, Mrs. Jesse DeCosta. Mrs.
Antonio Pimentel, Mrs. Gerald Haas and Mrs. Harlin Perry,
of Middlelown; a sister, Mrs. Rose Diniz Roberts
Portsmouth; 27 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 4
great great grandchildren.1
