Body of War Hero to Arrive Tonight

The body of Pfc. Gerald Norwood will arrive here early tonight for reburial Wednesday at Walter Creek cemetery 7 miles west of Hope. Funeral services will be held at Washington Presbyterian church at 3 p.m. by the Rev. Williams. Pvt. Norwood was killed in action January 27, 1945 on Luzon, He entered the service in May 1941 and was attached to the 6th Infantry, He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Callie Norwood, a brother Lynn of Paris, Texas. He was the son of the late Charles Norwood of McNab.^{2 3}
