Beulah Smothers Butler
BRUCETON Services for Beulah Smothers Butler, 84, will be
at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church, with the Rev.
James Higdon, Rev. Leon Edwards and Rev. Kenneth Massey
officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery in Hollow
Rock. Mrs. Butler, wife of Ed H. Butler, died Friday night
at Life Care Center Nursing Home in Bruceton after a long
illness. In addition to her husband, surviving are a
daughter, Rachel Joyner of Hart-selle, Ala.; three sons, J.
W. Butler of Trezevant, Warren Butler and Edward Butler of
Bruceton; two brothers, Bulas Smothers of Camden and
Gilbert Smothers of Landrum.S. C; three half sisters,
Jewell Holbrook of Kingston, Eula Curtis of Oak Ridge and
Eunice Abbott of Camden; seven grandchildren and four
great-grandchildren. Bruceton Funeral Home is in charge.2
