Thomas Martin Butler, died Feb. 8, at Chelan at the age of
66 years, 5 months and 29 days.Funeral services were held
Wednesday afternoon at the Chelan Christian church. The
Rev. C. N. Stutsman officiated. The music was rendered by a
quartet composed of Miss Mary Wood, Mrs. Walter Cagle, Asa
Post and C. R. Sargent with Mrs. L. S. Morse presiding at
the piano. The pallbearers were Elmer Garton, Leonard
Henderson, Frank Burnham, Paul Beidler, Mr. Harn and Hugh
Carpenter. Burial was in the Fraternal cemetery. Funeral
arrangements were cared for by W. R. Higgins. "Tom" Butler,
as he was know by his many friends in Chelan Valley, was
born in Illinois, Aug. 10, 1865. he came to Chelan valley
30 years ago, where he worked at the barber trade and also
farmed. Until a few years ago he operated a barbershop in
Chelan.2
