Verna Pinkston Dies Today Mrs. Verna B. Pinkston. 55. died
at her home, 427 Mulberry street, Carterville, at 2 a.m.
today. Mrs. Pinkston is the daughter of George and Oda S.
Ogden. She was born at Ogden community, south of
Carterville. She married Chester N. Pinkston on Jan. 1,
1916. She is survived by her husband, her mother, who lives
Marion, and three brothers, Troy Ogden, Marion. Floyd
Ogden, Davison, Mich., and Glenn Ogden, Carterville. The
body is lying in state at the family home. Funeral services
will be held at the Grand Avenue Baptist church at 2 p.m.
tomorrow. The Rev. N. G. Daniels will officiate. Burial
will be in Oakwood cemetery in Carterville.3
