Bennie Hooper Smothers
CAMDEN - Services for Bennie Hooper Smothers, 70, will be
at 2 p.m. Friday at Stockdale-Malin Funeral Home with the
Rev. Kenneth Massey officiating. Masonic services will be
in Liberty Cemetery. Mr. Smothers, a retired state
Department of Transportation employee, died Wednesday
afternoon at Benton Community Hospital after an illness.
The Benton County native was a member of Liberty United
Methodist Church and Masonic Lodge 333 in Holladay.
Surviving are his wife, Blondell Johnson Smothers; four
daughters, Joan Miller, Reba Higdon and Brenda Gogel, all
of Camden, and Reta Sutton of Grand Junction; two sons,
William Wayne Smothers and Kenneth Destry Smothers, both of
Camden; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.2
