Chester Thomas
Services for Chester H. Thomas, 69, retired Bemis Company
employe, were today at the First Baptist Church in Bemis
with the Rev. Pat Kough officiating. Burial was in the Mt.
Comfort Cemetery in Carroll County with Griffin Funeral
Home in charge. Mr. Thomas died Sunday morning at General
Hospital in Jackson. He was born in Carroll County and had
lived in Bemis since 1929. He retired in 1962 after 30
years with the Bemis Company. He was a member of the First
Baptist Church of Bemis and the Bob Garey Sunday School
class. He was a member of the Bemis 20-year Club. He
leaves a son, Billy W. Thomas of Bemis; and a sister, Mrs.
Kate Key of Jackson.1
