Albert H. Smothers, 98, retired farmer, official
CAMDEN - Services for Albert H. Smothers, 98, will be at
2:30 p.m. Sunday at Stockdale-Malin Funeral Home. Burial
will be in Camden Cemetery. Mr. Smothers, a retired farmer,
Benton County commissioner and county farm program
chairman, died Friday at Valley Regional Hospital. He was
married to the late Emma Kee Smothers. They had nine
children, Leon Smothers and Dennis Smothers, both of
Camden, Lloyd Smothers of Huntingdon, Troy Smothers of
Bruceton, Dallas Smothers of Brownsviile, Bobby Smothers of
Springfield, Odelle Cunningham of Nashville, Lucille Brewer
of Eaton, Ohio, and Ruth Swoboda of Topeka, Kan. He had a
brother, Thomas Eldon Smothers, and a sister, Iva Oxford,
both of Camden. For more information, call the funeral home
