Virgil 'Peck' Bond
BRUCETON Services for Virgil Franklin "Peck" Bond, 87, will
be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bruceton Funeral Home with the
Rev. Vaughn Ham officiating. Burial will be in Hebron
Methodist Church Cemetery. Mr. Bond, a retired concrete
finisher, finisher, died Monday night at Benton County
General Hospital in Camden after a short illness He was a
Carroll County native and a member of Lighthouse
Pentecostal Church in Huntingdon. Surviving are his wife,
Mrs. Vivian Oxford Bond; six daughters, Mrs. Lorene Wyatt
of Big Sandy, Mrs. Aliene Grooms of Huntingdon, Mrs. Ruth
Bennett of Nashville, Mrs. William Roberts and Mrs. Jewel
Thomas, both of Memphis, and Mrs. Obie Bonkowski of Tampa,
Fla. ; five sons, Paul Bond of Bruceton, Hobert Bond of
Florida, Travis Bond of Huntingdon, Charles Bond of Vales,
Calif., and Virgil Bond Jr. of Utica, Mich. ; 25
grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.3
