DYERSBURG - Mrs Gladys Elaine Hutchison Pence 84 former Dyersburg High School English teacher died Friday at Methodist Hospital of Dyersburg after a long Illness. Services will be at 2 pm Sunday at J W Curry A Son Funeral Home with burial in Fairview Cemetery. She served several terms as president of the Women's Missionary Union at First Baptist Church and taught Sunday school there for many years. Mrs Pence was past president of Dyersburg Women's Club and a member of Mclvers Grant Library Board. She also helped start Dyersburg Girl Scouts of America. Mrs Pence the wife of Max D Pence also leaves a daughter Mrs Peggy Marie Schuster of Dyersburg a son William M Pence of Dyersburg a sister Mrs Andrew Kleiver of Williamston Mich a brother Charles Hutchison of Charlotte Mich six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.⁴
