MRS. LEVINA RODGERS PASSED AWAY MONDAY
Funeral services for Mrs. Levina Rodgers, who passed away
Monday, were held Tuesday afternoon at the Kelley-Ferrell
Funeral Home, with the Reverend K. Arch Bolerjack
officiating. Burial was in the Seymour Masonic Cemetery.
Levina C. Butler, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William
.. Butler, was bom in west Tennessee, April 8, 1854, and
passed away at the home of her daughter in Seymour, Mo-
November 15, 1943, making her age at the time of her going,
89 years, 7 months and 7 days. On Sept 5, 1877, she was
united in marriage to James R. Rodgers. To this union three
daughters were born. She leaves to mourn her going: her
three daughters, Mrs. Sudie Lee Bonds, Mrs. dft ie
Regeister of west Tennessee and Mrs. Ettie Jones, Seymour;
one step daughter, Julia Robinson of west Tennessee. Her
husband preceded her in death in December 1920. At the age
of 22, she accepted Christ as her Saviour and united with
the Oak Grove Baptist Church of west Tennessee. She was a
very faithful and loyal member as long as she was
physically able to attend. For the past twenty years she
has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Jones.1
