Colonel O. Elkins Services Held

HOLLOW ROCK, Tenn. - Services for Colonel Omer Elkins, 60, were at 2 p.m. today at Prospect Baptist Church with the Rev. Neil Butler and the Rev. John Summers officiating. Burial was in Prospect Cemetery with Bruceton Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Elkins died Monday night at Carroll County General Hospital at Huntingdon after a short illness. He was a retired employe of Malone & Hyde Grocery Company of Jackson. He was a Carroll County native and had lived in Jackson for seven years until retiring a year ago. Mr. Elkins' parents were the late Hawkins and Cora Boswell Elkins. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Laura Smothers Elkins of Hollow Rock; a son, Troy Elkins of Waverly; a daughter, Mrs. Christine Pritchard of Huntingdon; two sisters, Mrs. Clayton Robinson of Bruceton and Mrs. Opal Kee of Raviel, La.; a brother, Otis Elkins of Bay, Ark.; and four grandchildren.2
