Jimmie Lee Taylor
HUNTINGDON Services for longtime lawyer Jimmie Lee Taylor,
72, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Dilday Funeral Home with
Dr. Jonas L Stewart officiating. Burial will be In Prospect
Cemetery. Mr. Taylor, who practiced law 49 years, died
Tuesday night at St. Thomas Hospital In Nashville after a
long illness. He was a lifelong resident of Carroll County.
Mr. Taylor received a bachelors degree In civil engineering
from Tennessee Polytechnic Institute (now Tennessee
Technological University) in Cookevllle. He earned his law
degree from Cumberland University School of Law in Lebanon.
He was a member of the Carroll County and Tennessee bar
associations, and Tennessee and American trial lawyers
associations. He was a member of First Baptist Church and a
50-year member of Huntingdon Lodge 106 Fraternal and Arch
Masons. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Georgia Yeargin
Taylor; two daughters, Mrs. Alice Baker of Brentwood and
Mrs. Barbara Lagow of New York; a sister, Mrs. Herschel
Brown of Jackson; and three grandchildren.1
