Postmistress Of Vale Dies Funeral July 26
Mrs Lillie Green Sills 56 postmistress at Vale Tenn died
suddenly of a heart attack at her home there on Monday July
26 She was apparently In good health and had not complained
of being 111 previous to the attack She had been active for
many years In religious and educational circles For many
years she had been a leading member of the Vale Baptist
Church and at the time of her death she was a teacher of
Sundry School In addition to other church' and educational
work She Is a graduate of what is now the U-T Jr College at
Martin Tenn and taght scholl in Carroll County for many
years. She was a lifelong resident of Vale except for
intervals and was highly respected and held in esteem by
all who knew her She was the daughter of the late Thomas L
Green and Sarah E Green Mrs Sills was preceded in death by
her husband the late William Munford Sills and a son W M Jr
She Is survived by two daughters Mrs Charles (Sarah Lout
Morris of Huntington Tenn and Miss Violet Sills presently
of Murray State College Murray Ky and a grandson Charles
Eddie Harris. Funeral services were conducted by Rev
Eldrain Williams of Memphis at the Vale Church Interment
was at the Rock Hollow Cemetery Rock Hollow Tenn.3
