Rupert Robinson
Services for Rupert Robison, retired restaurant owner, will
be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Oak Grove Baptist Church in
Carroll County with the Rev. F. D. Dennison officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery with George A. Smith
and Sons in charge. Mr. Robison, 72, died Thursday
afternoon in the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
He was born and reared in Carroll County and had lived at
224 North Tennessee, Bemis, for the past 30 years. He was
operator of Jolly-Inn in Bemis for 21 years. He was a
member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Carroll County.
Mr. Robison was married to the former Ludie Corine Edwards,
who survives him. Other survivors include: two daughters,
Mrs. Lola Jones of Jackson and Mrs. Gay Nell Horn of Bemis;
a sister, Mrs. Ben Nolan of Bemis; a granddaughter, Mrs.
Betty Harston and a great-grandson, Stan Harston. The body
will be at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons
until the funeral hour. Pallbearers will be Charles
Coleman, James Nolan, Kenneth Thomas, Norman Johnson,
Travis Nolan and Raymond Boyd.2
