Death Claims Mrs. Sallie Bond
Mrs. Sallie Irene Bond died November 2 at Presnell Hospital
in Kennett at the age of 74 years, 6 months and 14 days, A
native of Clifton, Tennessee, Mrs. Bond was a resident of
Deering and had lived in the community for 31 years. Final
rites were held November 27 at 2:30 p. m. at the Methodist
Church In, Deering. Rev. Richard Alexander conducted
services. Burial was in Zion Cemetery with German Funeral
Home, Steele, in charge of services. Pallbearers were L. E.
Kindred, Floyd Wilson, E. P. Crowe, La Vern Green, Ben
Griffin and Ed Garrison. Survivors of Mrs. Bond include: a
son, Otto Bond of Deering; six grandchildren; six great
grandchildren.; two brothers, L. L. Horton, East Prairie,
Mo. and W. T. Horton of Rayvllle, La.; and a sister, Mrs.
Emma Melson of Savannah, Tenn.4
